Dr. Art Lamia is not your ordinary dentist. Caring, gentle and patient, he takes time to listen to your concerns and expectations as well as provide you with the best care possible. Rather than being rushed, you can rest assured that Dr. Lamia is always there to serve your dental needs in a personalized, comforting way.

Dr. Lamia received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and in 1989 graduated with honors at the top of his class from New York University College of Dentistry. Inducted into the National Dental Honor Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Dr. Lamia is also a recipient of the distinguished Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award from NYU College of Dentistry. During his last year of Dental School, Dr. Lamia underwent extensive post-graduate training in Endodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Lamia is a former Clinical Associate Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received the Honorable Attending of The Year Award in 2002.

Dr. Lamia has enjoyed teaching dentistry, volunteering his dental services, being past president of a local Rotary Club and performing on stage with Community Theatre. He and his wife (as well as hygienist in the practice) Christine reside in Hood River and both enjoy windsurfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, surfing, and kayaking.

Christine is a native of Long Island where she graduated from the accredited State University of Farmingdale with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Christine is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene while working in the family practice.

When not involved in direct patient care or volunteering her hygiene skills, Christine loves to take advantage of the many activities Hood River has to offer from biking and windsurfing to snowboarding and yoga.
